Welcome to our course in Self Forgiveness and Self Love
Do you need this course?
Actually, most people do!
Life is difficult, and most of us are too hard on ourselves.
Sometimes we need to take a pause to do some inner “housecleaning” by forgiving ourselves for something, and we need to make an effort to fortify a positive feeling about ourselves and our lives.
- Do you wonder, Despite all my best efforts to be positive, why does my life still seem blocked, stuck, and messed up?!
- Is it time to forgive a mistake you made? Do you need to relax about a personality trait of yours that seems to be hard-wired? Accept it? Stop judging yourself about it?
- Have you been through a rough time recently, with a breakup or a job loss or a difficult life situation? Do you feel tired and discouraged?
- You may even wonder if there’s something wrong with you – privately thinking that things will never work out well for you. You might fear that it’s too late, or that you are not ‘one of the lucky ones.’
- Lucky or unlucky in your life situation, maybe you just need to get over a general sense of feeling disappointed in yourself – you need to stop being haunted by the worry that you are “falling short” of who you are supposed to be.
It is possible that the doors to a better future have been closed to you because you are blocked by some old emotional issues and unfinished stories that are causing you to be stuck, or have a negative self-concept. If life hasn’t been easy for you so far, perhaps now is the time you can turn a corner and open up your channels to grace and luck.
Life gets better now - Your breakthrough awaits you!
Maybe you don’t have time or patience right now for a long stint of psychotherapy or for lengthy spiritual practices, but you do realize that you currently need some help to lighten up and move forward.
It’s time for self forgiveness! Time to restore self love.
This course will get you there.
Why is this course so do-able, for so many people?
The 22 lessons in this course are short, simple, and wise – easy to get your head around, and easy to accomplish.
This is not an academic approach to positive psychology. In fact, in its simplicity it is meant to bypass your intellect, and instead nourish your heart, and open up the channel to your soul, because your soul is your true guide and your true healer in this process. You can move through this course at your own pace; the exercises build on each other, and the steadier you are in doing them, the more powerful will be the effect. You can use these lessons again and again, as needed.
Yes. You’ll need to be a little determined, and a little brave,
and a little methodical.
And if you are, you will steadily open your soul connection, and clear the debris from your past “failures” and disappointments, and feel a lot better.
Starting from a foundation of sturdy and steady appreciation of yourself as you are, you will take a fearless inventory of your negative self issues, and then you will tackle and clear them, one by one, with a potent guided exercise in self-forgiveness.
Thanks for taking this course, and bringing more Light into your life
and into our world.
Peace,
Mary Hayes Grieco

Plan on getting the most out of this course.
Here’s how –
Use the book, Unconditional Forgiveness, as a reference guide.
The efficacy of this course will be enhanced if you also read relevant chapters in the book, Unconditional Forgiveness, by Mary Hayes Grieco.
You can also download and listen to the audiobook, The Peaceful Heart, both of which give valuable background and context, and in-depth explanations about the forgiveness processes.
Both resources are available at: www.forgivenesstraining.com/store and the book is also on Amazon.
There are worksheets in the lessons that prepare you to do self forgiveness. Make copies of the worksheets so you can do the forgiveness exercises again and again, as needed.
Let your intuition guide you in the flow of this work.
Ask your soul to lead this process for you. See if it’s best to tackle minor things first, or to dive in on something pressing today.
See where you are led to heal yourself first. There’s no right or wrong way to do this, just your way.
Don’t do forgiveness work during a hectic stressful time when you need to be at the top of your game at work. Healing takes energy, and it can leave you “spacey” and unfocused (but peaceful!) for a few days. Do it before a day off instead, or on a long weekend.
Leave at least three days in between each significant forgiveness experience.
You’ll need time to integrate and get used to your new self each time. You can start doing little issues anytime.
Does one of your stories feel overwhelming?
Break it down into smaller facets and categories of hurt, and try doing one part of it at a time.
Get support! Get a best friend, a therapist, or a sponsor to sit with you in support of your process.
Still too big? Call us at The Midwest Institute for Forgiveness Training (612-874-6622), and we’ll advise you or arrange a telephone session for a fee.
Facing into your core challenge?
Come to Minneapolis for a Personal Retreat with Mary Hayes Grieco, and she’ll get you through it in a few days.
This work has also proved effective on the phone and by Zoom.
For big issues, plan on being more restful for a few days afterwards.
Get plenty of sleep and drink plenty of water. Treat yourself gently, like you’re “post-op” with a medical event. You are making deep and potent and long lasting changes.
Forgiveness work is a gift that we give to ourselves,
to increase our joy in life.
